vi. we would look at possible staging posts en route to or from Tokyo, if the Lord Mayor elect were to visit Japan.

Sir Anthony Jolliffe said that he would probably be able to make one longish tour of two to three weeks and two or three shorter tours of three or four days each. The PUS promised to let him have our thoughts on his programme in time for the City of London's Overseas Visits Committee meeting on 30 November.

4. Finally, Sir Anthony Jolliffe said that he would be making a private visit to Spain since the Sherry Growers Association had decided to dedicate this year's crop to the City of London.

5. I should be grateful if you would consult the FCO departments concerned and if necessary overseas posts and let the PUS have a draft reply to send Sir Anthony Jolliffe by 25 November.
