4 I visited the BDSMO. This is a fairly sleepy place,
but those concerned expressed satisfaction in the work
being performed by Mr Pendleton and his colleague.
I was glad to be told in particular that Mr Pendleton
had been proving very helpful. I encouraged both
Mr Pendleton and Mr Adams (Senior Trade Commissioner)
to keep in touch.
J. Mr Adams expressed interest in acquiring the sort
of telephone equipment that would allow him, or his
Secretary, to make calls to numbers dialled frequently
by dialling one or two selected digits and to allow for
automatic redialling in the event that the number called
was engaged. They will investigate locally whether
such equipment is available (I rather think it is) and
contact us further if they think they can work up a case.
