Mike Hall wrote to me on 3 September about Mr. Thatcher's programme.

Mr. Thatcher would be happy to take a trip on one of the Vosper Marine hovercraft of the Hong Kong Yaumati Ferry Company. He is, however, familiar with this but would be prepared to undertake this engagement if the Governor's Office are unable to come up with a further suggestion. If he does do this, the Governor's Office's suggestion of meeting up with the Prime Minister on Castle Peak would be perfectly acceptable.
During Mr. Thatcher's visit to Hong Kong he wishes to visit the Hong Kong Buying Office of Canadian Tyre and would be grateful if you could include this in his programme.

If time allows he would like to meet Miss Lydia Dunn whom he thinks is the Senior Executive of Swire and Maclean.
