Prime Minister's Visit to the Far East:
Hong Kong
Following up my letter of 10 September, I enclose suggestions on which member of the main party should participate in each event on the programme for Hong Kong.
There are two items on the programme, the timing of which remain to be confirmed. They are the meeting with businessmen on 27 September and the meeting with the Urban Council on 28 September. As soon as we hear from Hong Kong we shall be writing separately on these.
Naturally the Governor will wish to accompany the Prime Minister throughout her visit to Hong Kong. We assume that you or Robin Butler will wish to deal for the most part with the taking of records at the various meetings which are due to take place, but will ask for local help if necessary.
