A suite of 4 safe hand boxes will be taken out in the VC 10 for use in each capital.

In the guest houses in Tokyo, Peking and Shanghai a 24 hour guard will be maintained on the No 10 Office. Embassy staff will cover the daytime and the RMP the silent hours.

TRANSPORT

Host Governments in Japan and China will provide transport, supplemented as necessary by the British Embassy from their own resources or through hiring, for both the main party and the press party.

The allocation of cars on arrival at each destination will be telegraphed in advance.

Details of transport arrangements in each capital will appear in the Local Administrative Arrangements.

Adequate vehicles will be provided for baggage and other hold loaded items on the VC 10.

OFFICE MACHINERY AND STATIONERY

Assistants to work on the VC 10.

Electric and manual typewriters will be provided in the No 10 Offices in all capitals. No classified material should be typed on electric typewriters in the guest houses in Japan and China.

Posts will arrange for photocopiers to be provided in the No 10 Offices.
