PS/Lord Belstead
LORD BELSTEAD'S VISIT TO HONG KONG : BRIEFING
1.
I attach briefing for Lord Belstead's visit to Hong
Kong from 6 to 10 December. The briefs have been cleared with
FCO departments and other Government Departments as appropriate.
2.
The briefs on the Future of Hong Kong (No 2), the Guangdong Nuclear Power Station (No 11), Hong Kong Pensions (No 13) and the Far East Relay Station (No 17) have not yet been finalised. They will be produced early next week but Lord Belstead has a
copy of a provisional version of the Future brief. The personality notes (Annex B of the Steering Brief) will also be produced at the beginning of next week.
3.
Several briefs may need updating in the light of developments before Lord Belstead departs. These are Briefs Nos 4, 5, 10 and 15. Amendments and updates will be issued
as soon as they are available.
