MAIN ACTIVITIES
(a) English Language Teaching
The Counicl runs an English Language Institute and has at any one time over 12,000 students enrolled on a wide variety of courses ranging in level of difficulty from beginners to very advanced learners and in scope from General English to Business, Vocational and Examination classes. A total of over 38,000
students attended classes during 1981. There also exists a facility for providing specifically tailored courses for organisations and institutions in the Public and Private Sectors (eg Police, Civil Service Training Board, Independent Commission Against Corruption, China Light and Power, etc). annual Summer School is held for secondary school students.
