I write simply to thank you, in your capacity as President of the 'Second Friday! Club, for the excellent hospitality which you and your colleagues offered to me on Friday 10 December. It was a great honour for me to be invited, and I much enjoyed the occasion seeing all the leaders of Hong Kong business society gathered together for their monthly meeting among friends. The institution of the Second Friday Club is a remarkable one, not the least in the warmth of its hospitality to outsiders.
