This is simply to thank you very much indeed for your briefing on the commercial and industrial scene in Hong Kong when I came to the Industry Department on Thursday 9 December. Your comprehensive, if all too short, presentation, taken with the sample visit to the Continental Jewellery factory, gave me a good insight into the market in Hong Kong. If I may say so, it is precisely that professionalism, both in the Government's guidance and in the workforce, which has contributed to the astonishing success of Hong Kong in recent years.
