Mr Anthony Grant (Conservative MP for Harrow Central) rang today to say he will be in Hong Kong all next week (he was unaware of your own visit, but I told him). He will be there on business. But as a Member of the Foreign Affairs Select Committee, and Chairman of the Conservative Back Bench Trade Committee, he clearly takes a keen interest in Hong Kong.
He will be staying at the Shangri-la Hotel. I think he would like to see you if at all possible. In any case he wanted to make contact with the Governor, whom we should warn of his presence in Hong Kong.
