Further to your letter of 25 June to Dr Owen, See

see

I am afraid he has had to change his travelling plans for his visit to Australia and Hong Kong in August. He now hopes to visit Hong Kong on route back from Melbourne and this involves arriving in Hong Kong on the evening of Tuesday, 31 August and departing around lunchtime on Thursday, 2 September (to Singapore where he will catch a Quantas flight back to London). I would be very grateful if you could let me know whether the Governor could offer Dr Owen hospitality on these dates. Other than a firm engagement for a lunch on Wednesday, 1 September Dr Owen would be very happy to undertake any programme which the Governor might like to suggest.

Yours sincerely

Margaret Smart (Mrs)
