of the future. When I went to the training services, it was
decided I had no potential.
Mr Checketts
The proposals in the overseas student
press paper which have been well received by Parliament have
been acknowledged by Mr Pym and are important in this aspect
that we would support that there should be no return to the
open ended subsidy but the selection and training of selective
students is an important aspect. There are proposals about
taking a thousand students into industry for a sum of money,
partially from HMG, partially from indistry and I hope those will
come forward.
