I understand you spoke to Mr Hoare of this department the other day. This is to confirm what he told you. We believe it would be entirely appropriate for Hong Kong to be invited to attend next year's meeting of Directors of Commonwealth Meteor- ological Services, and hope that an invitation will in due course be sent to the Director of the Royal Observatory.
