WORLD ASSEMBLY ON AGEING
1. I enclose a contribution on the Dependent Territories for inclusion in the UK national report on Ageing.
2. If you agree the paragraphs on Hong Kong might also form the basis for a separate background brief on Hong Kong for the Minister, together with a copy of (i) a Hong Kong white paper ''Social Welfare in the 1980's'', (ii) a copy of the programme plan on Services for the Elderly (1982 edition) and (iii) a copy of the five year plan for Social Welfare Development in Hong Kong (1982 review). We are looking out (i) from stocks here. We hope to receive copies of (ii) and (iii) from Hong Kong in July.
