POLITICAL DIRECTOR' TALKS IN LISBON
I attach a record of your talks with Ambassador Vaz Pereira, the Political Director at the Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and a brief note of your call on the Portuguese Foreign Minister, Ambassador Futscher Pereira.

2. You agreed with Ambassador Vaz Pereira that the series of talks should be continued in London in the first half of next year. We will pursue this with him in due course. Although we do not get much direct return from the process I believe that the talks do play a considerable part in bringing Portuguese foreign policy into line with that of the Ten.
