Tony Fenn (PIO) to hold Press briefing session in Gateway Hotel cutlining the facilities which will be made available to the Press 18. mute photography, interviews with willing volunteers, Probably, will not include a brief on the RFA by DESF or indeed a question and argwer secɛion purely artlining the basic facilities to be provided. However, if it is decided at the 1030 meeting with Tony Fenn etc, that it would be better to include a question and answer session at the informal Press Briefing at 1230, it should fall to DDSF Łó give an unattributable interview to the Freos, This could cover both a general brief on what the RFA is and it's involvement with the Falklando Operation together with material on Galahad and Tristram including information on, for example, the conditions of service for HKC - tee attached brief,
As flight has now been delayed until 1500, lunch arrangements etc can be included at approximately this time, if required, Families and friends will also by this time either have arrived or be arriving end should be açccomodate at Brise Norton Sqda Lár Haggett can no doubt arrange. The 2 Captains to hold informal interview, preferably not in Gateway Hotel recounting their experiences etc. Possible that questions will be asked about HKC. However, this should already have been covered during FR brief given by R Rep at Ascension Is, and SSTO 74A during incoming flight, Preferable that 2 or 3 HLC are nominated (during flight) to give an interview to the FreeA to avoid the Press speaking to’unprepared 'HKC. Hopefully, the majority of HKC can be taken to the Gatway Hotel, avoiding direct contact with the media,
