A further argument against an invitation is that the Irish

servicemen killed in the South Atlantic were not there as

representatives of the Irish government. On balance Dr Kennedy

should not receive an invitation, provided that the relatives

of the Irish dead are invited to the service as the next of kin

The MOD have allocated 600 places for this purpose so that

such invitations should be easy to arrange.
