9. LEAVE PAY
A seaman on discharge shall be entitled to not more than 4 days leave pay for gach completed month of service and prorate.
10. PUBLIC HOLIDAYS
The following shall be regarded as public holidays. There shall be a minicum of 10 such holidays in a calendar year and where any of whom fall on Sundays, the day following shall be treated as a public holiday:
Christmas Day
Good Friday
Spring Bank holiday
Summer Bank Holiday
17. SHORE TRAVE-
Boxing Day
Easter Monday
Chinese New Years and 2 days follow New Years Day
To shore Igave shall be granted and no seaman is allowed to leave the ship without the consent of the Master or his deputy and the local authorities but such leave will be permitted where possible on completion of the seaman's normal working hour.
12. VICTUALLING
(i) Food will be provided by the employer in accordance with the scale of provisions and water provided for in the Merchant shipping
(provisions and water) Regulations 1972. The Scale shall be exhibited on notice boards in the crew's quarters and substitution shall be allowed as in the scale annexed.
13. BAGGAGE 'ALLOWANCE
A seaman travelling by air to join a ship shall be entitled to carry up to 36 Kilos of baggage. Additional baggage not exceeding 50 Kilos will be transported by sea at the employer's expense to Hong Kong or the proper return port.

Carpenters shall be entitled to an extra allowance of 30 Kilos to cover transport of tools.
14. WAR OR WARLIKE OPERATIONS ALLOWANCE
If a war zone of warlike operations arises during the currency of his Agreement in any country but within the ship's trading area, the seaman shall sail the ship to and within and out of the zone, if required by the Master, and a bonus of not exceeding 100%, subject to negotiation, of basic wagos will be paid to him.
15. LOSS OF EFFECTS OR DAMAGE BY MARINE PERIL
The scale of maximum compensation as may be current and agroed shall apply in every case where a seaman suffers total or partial loss of or damage to his personal effects, as a result of the wreck or loss or stranding or abandonment of the vessel on which he was engaged, or as a result of fire, flooding or collision thereon, excluding loss or damage occasioned (i) by the claimant's own fault and (ii) by misappropriation, larceny or theft, and will entitle the seaman to recover from the employer compensation to the value of the effects lost or damaged or in accordance with the scale annexed hereto, whichever is the less. Fayment for compensation for loss of effects is conditional on production of a certificate signed by the master or his deputy that the loss was not occasioned under sub-paragraphs (i) and (ii) above. In the event of a scaman losing his life at the time, compensation for loss of effects will be paid to his widow or child or other person entitled to his personalty.
