Purpose
General review
with particular emphasis on the registration of lift and escalator engineers and technicians and on safe operation.
To keep the objectives and composition of advisory boards and committees in tune with present day circumstances.
Progress Made & Present Position
Final draft Order prepared to amend the Schedule to the Ordinance by providing Chinese translation of the statutory forms meant for the use of the general public.

14. Increased supply of water from
China
To obtain more water from China to meet increasing demand.
Agreed drawing rate for 1982/83 is 220 million cubic metres.
Increment of 35 million cubic metres per year has been agreed for 1983/84 to 1985/86.
Works required to receive and transfer the additional water are being planned and implemented in phases by Water Supplies Department.
