Quarters
(a) Leasing
45 NDQs and 29 DQs taken over. A general softening of rental levels, mainly in
the higher grades.
(b) Construction
1,400 quarters to be provided under joint-venture redevelopment programme by end 1985/86. 17 projects tendered and under way. Others under consideration. Construction of 168 Government-built quarters proceeding at Mt. Butler.
(c) Purchase
68 flats at Shatin identified. Negotiation about to be finalised. A further 18 to 20 flats may be obtainable from the funds remaining.

Continue search for further redevelopment sites.
