12.Concessions
to Disabled lrivers
Purpose
To set up a Central Registry of Disabled Persons
To grant concessions and fee remission, to disabled drivers and car
owners.
Progress made and present....position
(a) Management Committee for the
establishment of the Registry on a manual basis has been set up. Preliminary planning has continued and the necessary additional staff have been requested.
(b) The Project Definition Study
Report has been approved by the Computer Committee. A working team in the Data Processing Division is working closely with the Social Services Branch on the study.

Revised draft kegulations extending concessions to driving licence fees and fees for certificates of fitness to drive have been completed and a revised Executive Council Memorandum is being drafted.
Next quarter target
(a)to start the manual
conversion exercise.
