Purpose
Progress Made & Present Position
To formulate new legislation (a) Following discussion with the two for the control of ferry services and to negotiate franchises with the two ferry companies.

Control Traffic Congestion
(SCR 1/2201/80).
To develop, consistent with Thite Paper policy, measures to reduce congest- ion on the roads by limiting the usage of private vehicles.
Major principles and a package of preferred options have been identified in conjunction with the C.S. and F.S. and are being studied in detail.
