The draft report of the Panel of Visitors conducting the Overall Review of Education does not refer to the Codes of Aid. Discussions have been held with ED and FB to revise the Codes the principal objectives being to minimise the confrontation between the Department and the aided schools and to remove possible sources of irritation. The Grant Schools Council's proposal for ESF-type financing will be considered in this context.
Hold further discussions with the Education Department to bring the matter to a conclusion.
To discuss further with the Education Department and Finance Branch.

Proposals for primary schools have been agreed in principle with the Education Department and the Social Services Branch. Proposals for secondary schools will be determined in the light of the effectiveness of a pilot scheme involving resource teaching centres.
To consider new proposals based on the discussions held and to consult RDCC.
