Building Policy Committee
Purpose
To advise on all matters concerning the efficient use of resources to achieve the overall objectives of community building.
Progress Made & Present Position
Territory-wide
(a) Arrangements for the payment
of an honorarium of $2,000 per month to all unofficial members of the DES (except Urban Councillors) have been finalised and will be effective from 1st April 1962.
(b) A pilot scheme for DB members to meet the public has been started in Tsuen Wan, Sha Tin, Wong Tai Sin and Kwun Tong.
(c) Financial guidelines for DBS are
being reviewed to include possible widening of the ambit of DB funds and raising the limit on DB funds under DB delegated authority.
(d) The training needs of unofficial
members are being looked into.
(a) SCNTA assumed chairmanship of
CBPC which held its 13th meeting on 3.3.82.
(b) The recommendations of the
Working Party on the Review of the CYO scheme were endorsed and the overall coordinating responsibilities for Summer Youth Programme rest with CDOs and DOS.
