Progress Made & Present Position
bring order and control to existing development trends.
(ii) It was decided not to proceed
with further studies on Deep Bay as a possible airport location.
(iii) Negotiations with the Tin Shui
Wai developers continued and ExCo gave initial consideration to revised development proposals.
(c) N.E. New Territories
LDPC considered the consultants' interim report on the NENT develop- ment study and provided guidance for the consultants on certain points of principle and policy.
(d) Junk Bay
Consultants undertaking the Junk Bay development study submitted their Draft Final Report. Consultations with the Mass Transit Railway Corporation continued over the feasib- ility of the MTR providing the principal external access to the new town.
Next Quarter Targets
to continue
with datailed work dn the Base Strategy (completion Marci. 1983)
(iii) ExCo to con-
sider revised Tin Shui Wai development proposals further.
