In June, the Industrial Promotion Office in London was opened. Work started on setting up new offices in Stuttgart and San Francisco.
With approval from the Central Consultancy Selection Board, DTIC commissioned Stage II of the Consultancy in July. Work started straight away.
Finance Committee has approved funds for the laboratory. standards and calibration laboratory is expected to be in operation in 1983.

The new offices are expected to open in August.
The Consultancy is expected to be complete at the end of 1982.
To monitor (and assist as necessary) recruit- ment of staff, oriering of equipment, locating and fitting out of accommodation and
setting of a scale of fees for services.
