(a) Leasing

64 NDOS and 29 DQs taken over. Rent levels remain steady. Supply of higher grade flats has increased but shortage of middle-grade quarters continues.
(b) Construction
:
1,400 quarters to be provided under joint-venture redevelopment programme by end 1985/86, 17 projects tendered and under way.
Others under consider- ation. Construction of 168 Government- built quarters proceeding at Mt. Butler.
(c) Purchase
78 quarters purchased. Further 72 to be secured under present programme.
Continue search for further redevelopment sites.
Identify further suitable purchases and complete
outstanding negotiations.
