Progress Made and Present Position
a) Hong Kong-China Joint Working Group on Controls at Entry/Exit Points has met. Arrangements for issue of 100 permits for cars to cross at Mak Kam To are" in hand.
b) PAGENT has been asked to study future
of FCA in the light of proposed new border crossings and other developments near the Frontier.
c) Layout of expanded MKT Complex has been
agreed.
Detailed planning has continued. dating ExCo paper was issued and FCai's approved. The project is "on time".
