(b) The land grants for the sites at Kwai Chung and Kowloon Bay for the establishment of industrial training centres are under preparation.
(a) The University & Polytechnic Grants Committee has advised that it would be prepared to make grant recommendations for the Baptist College with effect from 1983/84, one year earlier than previously envisaged. It has also been decided that, as from the 1982/83 academic year, the College would introduce a unified three-year course for all new post-Advanced Level students.
The
existing 2+1 course structure for post-Advanced Level study will be phased out. Supplementary provision is being sought to cover the increase in capitation grant to reflect the new enrolment
structure.
Action to be
taken by the Technical Education & Industrial Training De- partment to follow through the execution of the private treaty grants.
