Despite all efforts the project cannot be fully completed until the end of December 1982. Those areas
provide clinical trainingrequired for the first phase for the Second Medical School at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK).
To monitor the develop- ment of the Hospital project.

clinical staff at QMH, to review the long term staff requirements and examine whether the integrated system proposed for the Prince of Wales Hospital should be adopted for use at QMH.
commissioning will, however, be ready for occupation by 1 October 1982. Meanwhile, purchase of equipment and recruitment of medical/technical staff for the Hospital have been progressing satisfactorily. The Project Co-ordinating Committee is monitoring the project closely.
The consultant architects have completed the detailed planning work. Revised schedule of accommodation and project estimates (899 m) were approved by Public Works Dub-Committee on 14 April 1982. Piling work is expected to commence in August 1982. The possibility of accommodating an extension of Medical Faculty of Hong Kong University at the Hospital is being examined. The Project Co-ordinating Committee continues to hold regular meetings to monitor progress.
