Dear Mr Storey,

DE

AF24/6

I last wrote to you on the 28th November, 1980 requesting information on the legislative powers of the Parliament at Westminster in reference to the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. I now find that I have omitted the position, legal and legislative, on the Crown Colonies, Crown Dependecies, Crown Frotectorates, etc. Consequently I am writing to you once again in the hope that you will be able to supply me with the following information which I now find necessary in order to continue my sociological and legal survey of the laws and legislative position of all Crown Territory.

Basically the question is, as before; 1) Are homosexual practices legal or illegal; 2) What if any are the laws applicable to homosexual practices; 3) Copies of the relevant legislation; 4) The exact status of each territory e.g., Crown Colony, etc.

I require this information for each territory in the following list. I regret the list is somewhat longer than I had at first envisaged:-

1) Bermuda; 2) British Virgin Islands; 3) Falkland Islands and Dependencies; 4) Gibraltar; 5) Hong Kong; 6) Fitcairn Islands; 7) St Helena; 3) Ascension Island: 9) Tristan Da Cunha; 10) West Indies; 11) Antigua; 12) Cayman Islands; 13) Montserrat; 14) St Kitts-Nevis; 15) Anguilla; 15) Turks and Caicos Islands.

I do appreciate the amount of time and research which will be involved in answering my request, but I would greatly appreciate your invaluable help and assistance with this matter.

One minor point concerning my original research of the laws of England and Wales has come to light. I would be pleased if
