enter and reside in Gibraltar without. imigration restrictions. The term "Gibraltarian tonn" is material in the principal Ordinance because under

specified conditions in the Ordinance, the husband and children of

Gibraltarian women are either entitled or eligible to register in

Gibraltar".

From 1 January 19 1933, the term "Gibraltarian" would mean every person who

is a British citizen by virtue of registration, under section 5 of

the British Nationality Act, 1981, every British Dependent Territories

citizen by virtue of a connection with Gibraltar, and every person who is

or is registered entitled to be registered as a Gibraltarian under the Gibraltarian Status

Ordinance.

The term "British Dependent Territories citizen by virtue of a connection

with Gibraltar" would be defined in the Interpretation and General Clauses

Ordinance. In general terms it would mean a person who has that status

by reason of birth, registration or 'naturalisation in Gibral tar.

The term "Gibraltarian woman" would mean simply a Gibraltarian (as defined

above) who is a woman.

Section 26A of the principal Ordinance would be consequentially repealed:
