The Government here are interested in joining the Caribbean Postal Union which CARICOM are floating. The idea has the support of our Postmaster General.
2.
In order for Bermuda to participate, it would be necessary for the United Kingdom to grant entrustment powe rs.
I enclose for your information a copy of a letter of 3rd November from the Secretary General of CARICOM to the Premier.
3.
I should be grateful if you would consult the interested departments and let me know whether HMG are prepared to agree to Bermuda acceding to the Caribbean Postal Union.
