WRITTEN PQ: THE LORD HOUGHTON OF SOWERBY
'TO ASK HER MAJESTY'S GOVERNMENT WHAT TERRITORIES NOW COMPRISE THE BRITISH EMPIRE'
1. Lord Houghton was created a Life Peer in 1974 (Labour). He was previously the Chairman of the Parliamentary Labour Party 1967-74. The Parliamentary Unit know of no special reason why he has tabled this motion. Please see the following papers attached:
