the British Empire. [8th February.]
LORD CARRINGTON
With the coming to independence of most of the countries that
formerly comprised the British Empire, the term 'British Empire'
is no longer appropriate.
Territories are:
The remaining British Dependent
Anguilla
Bermuda
British Antarctic Territory
British Indian Ocean Territory
British Virgin Islands
Cayman Islands
Falkland Islands and Dependencies
Gibraltar
Hong Kong
Montserrat
Pitcairn Group of Islands
St Helena and Dependencies
Turks and Caicos Islands.
