I

PITCAIRN

POINTS TO MAKE

1.

Pitcairn is a very small Dependency with a tiny population (around 50). Does not seem that it could be viable as an

independent state.

2. United Nations Committee of 24, in their regular discussions, have shown understanding over particular problems of a territory like Pitcairn. Pitcairn Island Council has said it does not wish to change existing relationship between Pitcairn and UK and considers independent statehood would be administratively and economically impracticable.
