The Governor, Pitcairn is our British High Commissioner
in Wellington. The Commissioner and the Administrator of the
British Indian Ocean Territory are the Head and Assistant
respectively of East Africa Department.
4.
The figures for Hong Kong do not include the Diplomatic
Service staff of the British Trade Commission, the China Trade
Unit and the Diplomatic Service Mails Office, none of whom are
responsible to the government of the Territory.
5.
The Governors of other Dependent Territories not shown
in paragraph 2 and various senior Dependent Territories admin-
istrative posts are filled by non-Diplomatic Service officers
recruited by FCO.
6.
The London figures do not include those engaged in the
Falkland Islands emergency unit, except for 2 SAMD members.
