Agreements

The only visa abolition agreement which makes a specific reference to Hong Kong is that concluded with Spain in 1960 (Exchange of Notes of 13 May 1960 and further Exchange of Notes of 20 and 23 May 1960).

3. By definition, although not by actual reference to the territory itself, the following visa abolition agreements are applicable to holders of passports issued by the Governor of Hong Kong:

Belgium and Netherlands

Denmark, France, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, San Marino, Sweden

Portugal

British persons holding valid pass- ports bearing on the cover the inscrip- tion British Passport at the top, and at the bottom the inscription 'United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland'. . . or the name of any overseas dependent territory and inside the national status as 'British Subject' or 'British Subject, Citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies'.

Holders of valid passports bearing on the cover the inscription 'British Passport' and inside the description of the holder's national status as

'British Subject'

British Subjects possessing valid passports bearing on the cover the

inscription 'British Passport' and

inside the description of the holder's status as 'British Subject' or 'British Subject, Citizen of the UK and

Colonies'
