9. The Management Services Branch (or equivalent) and the internal

auditors should also monitor reports on visits to ensure that

Departmental Guidelines are being followed (5.13)

10. The normal size of a visiting party should be one. (5.21)

Officials in adjacent grades of the same chain of command should

not go on the same visit. (5.22)

The Lead Department should be given specific responsibility for

inter-Departmental delegations. (5.27)

The DOE/DOI as joint Lead Departments should invite the

appropriate territoral Department to attend the EC Regional Policy

Committee and Regional Fund Management Committee only when a major

department concerned direct, and not the Protocol and Conference
