entry wounds were found in the body with three exit wounds. Two bullets were found embeded in the body and these were later handed to DEPC 6924 who handed them over to the Ballistics Officer. All bullet wounds were in the body, two in the left upperchest, two in the mid lower chest and one in the left upper abdomen. Only one bullet had entered the heart. All entry wounds had blackening on the rim. The skull bone was normal and the brain was healthy. The stomack and gullet were empty. There were no other marks or briuses on the body. The anal opening was dilated with loss of folds and the lining of the anal canal was thickened. The blood alcohol was 52 M9/100 ml which is very little. The cause of death was gunshot wounds of chest with injuries to the heart aorta and spleen. He will also produce documentary evidence of suicides of a similar nature.

Dr. Frederick Ong will comment on the findings of the Post Mortem report and verify the fact that it is possible for a person to shoot himself five times even if the first bullet goes through the heart.

Professor James Blackburn Gibson is the Professor of Pathology at the University of Hong Kong. He is very well qualified. He will state that he was shown the Post Mortem report and photographs and the Ballistics and Laboratory report. He will say that the shots are numbered 1-5 in the Post Mortem Report and it is his opinion that this is the order in which they were probably fired. Regarding the position of the wounds the bullet tracks and the description of the clothing, these are consistent with self inflicted wounds and he is not aware of any evidence which suggests any other practicable possibility. There does not seem to have been the sign of any struggle and this would indicate that the deceased participated voluntarily in the course of events. Wound No. 1 would have caused death within a few minutes and loss of consciousness in approximately two minutes. The blood alcohol reading is a low elevation and would not be expected by itself to influence a man's judgement adversely or his physicalability. It No. 1 had been the first shot it would have been possible for a determined man to fire the remaining shots in the order described before losing consciousness. The anal changes described are consistent with the practice of sodomy but he does not consider that they are prima facie evidence of it.

105.

Mr. Y.Y.CHENG, Government Chemist will state that a blood sample of the deceased was examined on 19.1.80 and no sign of common poisons or drugs including hypnotics and tranquillisers were found.
