He will further state that in subsequent conversation he had with the deceased whilst waiting for Mr. Llewellyn the subject of Bail Money came up and that the deceased appeared particularly distressed at the mention of Bail Money. During the course of the conversation the deceased said on more than one occasion that he thought that the SIU would be better employed on more serious crimes like Robbery and Burglary than investigation allegations that in most other countries are not crime.

He will say that at no stage during his conversation with the deceased did the deceased say that he was being framed by any person nor did he say that he had been framed in the past. He did however say that he had seen a very senior Police officer's name on a list and when Mr. Pelly enquired as to what the list was he said that it was something he had been dealing with before.

He will state that he did know the vague background to the incident referred to by the deceased that had happened some time ago i that later in the sonversation he understood the deceased to be worried because the reason the SIU wished to interview him was in connection with an incident similar in nature to that which was currently being investigated.

He will further state that Mr. Llewellyn arrived at 1815 hours and that he took the deceased and Mr. Llewellyn to his office where it would be more private. He introduced Mr. Llewellyn to Mr. Trotman and they spoke for a while about the interview the following day. At 1830 hours Mr. Pelly left whilst this conversation was still going on and he did not see the deceased alive again.

He will state that he does not know the specific reason that the deceased shot himself, and can only presume that it was because he was worried about the investigations into his private life.

Mr. Stephen Llewellyn, a solicitor with Hampton Winter and Glynn will state that on 14th January at about 1615 hours as the result of a telephone call he went to the Officers Mess of Homantin Police Station where he met the deceased and Mr. Pelly. He will state that he, the deceased and Mr. Pelly then went to Mr. Pelly's office where they were joined by Mr. Trotman. He then made a call to Police Headquarters. Mr. Trotman then left and he talked to the deceased. At 1900 hours he and the deceased went to the Mess where each had a soft drink. He left Homantin Station at 1915 hours. He noticed nothing extraordinary about the deceased's demeanour.

He will further state that the matters discussed in the course of conversation between himself and the deceased are privileged.
