In January 1973 I carried out an autopsy on, and can vouch

for the following case.

A man in his early 70s was shot whilst in his residence

by a bullet, which passed through a window to penetrate his

chest and then stop in an interior wall. His position at the

time could thus easily be determined.

After sustaining the injury he moved from that room, through

the next room, into a further room where he picked up a shotgun

and started the return journey before he collapsed.

The weapon was subsequently identified as an AK47 assault

rifle, firing a 122gr bullet at a muzzle velocity of 2400 f.p.s
