Letter dated 2nd April, 1981 addressed to H.E. and all the members of the Executive Council is from CHOW Hing-chuen of
the Wanderers Association. It requests H.E. to rescind the notice
issued by the Police Headquarters on 20th March and allow the Association to register and become a legal body in Hong Kong.
It says since the setting up of the Wanderers Association, it has
accomplished the following :
1. Helped 1,675 people to find job.
2. Helped 2,456 people to become law-abiding
citizens by explaining HK Law to them.
3.
Organised outings and recreational activities
on 23 occasions.
4.
Spent 240 hours to help people to understand
English.
Due to shortage of fund, the Association could not carry
out as many activities as it would like to, but it has never accepted any conditional donation from anyone, it says.
