UK and where children jump the queue they are generally

repatriated.

So far as Hong Kong is concerned, I think we should accept

their proposals but point out the risk of criticism here. We should

ask for advance warning of individual cases which are likely to

attract particular publicity. We should also ask the Hong Kong

Government's views on how far children might be allowed to join

their parents through legal immigration procedures (see (f) above).
