Analysis of arrivals at Lowu from 5 to 11 January 1981 of travellers holding travel documents issued in the People's Republic of China

Within this period 798 documents were recorded, covering 973 travellers. The great majority were valid for return of the 105 single journey permits recorded in this period, 1 was issued in Guangzhou; 94 were issued in places in Guangdong Province other than Guangzhou; 1 in Fujian; 1 in Jiangsu; 2 in Anhui; 1 in Zhejiang and 5 in Hebei. Permits were issued for varying periods of validity (in the case of single journey permits the period refers to the time within which the permit had to be used). Of the 798 :-

Within this period no permit issued in Fujian province was valid for more than 1 year and 80% for one year. 97% of the permits issued in Guangzhou
