Within this period 785 documents were recorded, covering 1011 travellers. The great majority (84%) were valid for return of the 126 single journey permits recorded in this period, 17 were issued in Guangzhou; 68 were issued in places in Guangdong Province other than Guangzhou; 20 in Fujian, 4 in Jiangsu; 1 in Anhui; 1 in Nei Mongol; 1 in Yunam; 2 in Zhejiang; 7 in Guangxi; 2 in Hebei; 2 in Henan and 1 in Jiangxi. Permits were issued for varying period of validity (in the case of single journey permits the period refers to the time within which the permit had to be used). Of the 785:

Within this period no permit issued in Fujian Province was valid for more than 1 year and 6 permits (77.94%) were for one year. 15 permits (10.34%) issued in Guangzhou were valid for one year, 116 permits (80%) were valid for 6 months and 14 permits (9.66%) were valid for 3 months.
