I am sure that Mr Clift was right to have this word with Mr Ford about lobbying of Peers. I also fully support his line on nomenclature.
2. I believe that it is possible that the Government will be defeated in the House of Lords on the Gibraltar amendment and that this will be bound to renew the clamour from Hong Kong: but I equally believe that the Government intends to hold firm.
