NATIONALITY BILL: NOTES ON AMENDMENTS FROM MR ALEX LYON
1. Mr Lyon has put down amendments to the Bill which would have the effect of removing the present scheme of citizenship of the British Dependent Territories and replacing it with citizenships for each dependency to be determined by Order of the Secretary of State and approved by Parliament.
2.
I attach notes for Ministers prepared by the Home Office and should be grateful for clearance or comments particularly on those points sidelined and underlined not later than Monday 9 February.
