Executive for some years of Australia's most successful television station GTV 9 in Melbourne, was Chief Executive of AAV Australia and is currently Chairman of the Syme Technology Group.
The Managing Director of the David Syme Group, Mr. Ranald Macdonald, is currently a Vice Chairman of the Press Foundation of Asia, having been on the Board for a number of years, and was formerly Vice Chairman of the Interna- tional Press Institute for Asia and the Pacific region (6 years), the immediate past Chairman for 2 years of the world editors and publishers body and a former Chairman of the Media Council of Australia and President of the Australian Publishers Association.
It is proposed he will be on the Board of Rediffusion Television Ltd.

Henry Jones (IXL) Limited is a large and rapidly expanding Australian company whose activities include food processing, brewing supplies, feed stock milling and smaller specialist businesses, which includes media involvement. (It owns a regional television station at Griffith, New South Wales and three radio stations located at Griffith in New South Wales, and Hobart and Launceston in Tasmania.)
Henry Jones has a subsidiary in Hong Kong which services its extensive business in Southeast Asia. Those activities include exporting Australian made products and importing raw materials for further processing in Australia.
It will be represented on the Board of RTV by its Managing Director Mr. J.D. Elliott.
