Annex A
LICENCE
to
Establish a Commercial Broadcasting Service
PREAMBLE
In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 7 and 34
of the Telecommunication Ordinance, the Governor in Council hereby grants to HONG KONG COMMERCIAL BROADCASTING COMPANY LIMITED (hereinafter referred to as "the licensee"), whose registered office is at D'Aguilar Place, 7 D'Aguilar Street, Hong Kong, subject to the terms and conditions hereinafter contained:-
(a) the right to establish and operate a commercial
radio broadcasting service to the public
consisting of such aural messages and programmes as are permitted to be broadcast by this licence;
(b) the right to establish and operate such associated transmitting facilities ancillary to the operation of a commercial radio broadcasting service as may be authorized by the Telecommunications Authority on such sites as may be approved by the Governor-in- Council;
(c) the right to operate such associated telecommunication
services ancillary to the operation of a commercial radio broadcasting service as may be authorized by the Telecommunications Authority; and
(d) the right to establish and operate a broadcast
receiving station on a site approved by the Governor-in-Council;
but excluding the right to transmit any form of visual message or to maintain a transmitting station for that purpose.
